Why Purple Guy was always
Crying Child's Father

This all initially started with a hunch I've had for a while that FNAF 4's original story was a lot closer to the current story than we thought.

Most theorists believe that Crying Child and Foxybro originally had no connection with Purple Guy, and that Mike Afton and Crying Child Afton were later retcons from Sister Location. However after thinking about it for a while I think there's a lot of really strong evidence to believe that Purple Guy was always supposed to be Crying Child's father. I will also be working under the idea that the Crying Child was Mike Schmidt's litle brother when FNAF 4 released.

I want to first lead with a question. Where are Schmidt kids' parents?




Seriously where are these kids parents? We never see them at home once. Even if we only see a slice of Crying Child's life you'd still expect to see the parents at home at least once. The implication seems to be that Foxybro is the one watching Crying Child all day while the parents are elsewhere. But where?

I believe that there are strong implications that the Schmidt kids' parents/parent work at Fredbear's Family Diner.

Evidence towards this is:

1. The Schmidts seem to live right next door from Fredbears Family diner, this is based on the minigame map which has the house and diner literally connected, and also the fact that Crying Child is able to walk to and from Fredbears' and his home whenever. This fact seems to imply that the Schmidts are also very important, and possibly the owners. Often times owners of a small family business live out of, or next to it.




2. All of Crying Child's toys are Freddy's merchandise. It's a very common thing for children of employees to get a lot of merchandise from their business/job.
3.
